GIANCARLO DE CARLO "COLLEGI" IN URBINO - CONSERVATION PLAN

“I Collegi Universitari” of Urbino, built between 1962 and 1983 by Giancarlo De Carlo and considered one of the most significant architectures of the post-war period, are one of 14 cases eligible for funding by the Getty Foundation, in the context of the notice Keeping It Modern 2015, which supports the development of exemplary methodologies for the preservation of the buildings of the twentieth century. Through the "CMP" it is feasible to afford a long-term strategy, based on targeted interventions and constant monitoring, which will allow to program the interventions necessary for the preservation. To conserve the “Collegi” is a process that will consider the different levels of sensitivity and urgency but also the transformations necessary to ensure adequate safety conditions to comfort to more than 1000 students who today housing
